This policy explains how Iriska collects, uses and protects personal data when you use our platform at iriska.ai. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data we collect
- Account and contact details (name, email, phone, business and billing addresses).
- Business verification data for sellers and professional buyers (company registration, VAT status, bank account details, food-safety registration where relevant).
- Transaction data (orders, invoices, payment status — full card details are handled by our payment provider, not stored by us).
- Technical data (IP address, device and usage information, cookies) needed to operate and secure the platform.
3. How and why we use it
- To create and manage accounts and to verify businesses (legal bases: contract and legal obligation).
- To process orders, payments, invoicing and delivery (contract).
- To operate, secure and improve the platform and prevent fraud (legitimate interests).
- To send service communications and, where you consent, other updates (consent).
4. Service providers
We share data only as necessary with trusted processors who act on our instructions — for example hosting and database providers located in the EU, payment service providers, email delivery, logistics partners and analytics. Each is bound by appropriate data- protection agreements.
5. International transfers and storage
Personal data is stored within the European Union by default. Where any transfer outside the EU/EEA is necessary, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet legal, accounting and tax obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact contact@iriska.ai. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
